Perfect Events first opened its doors in 2007 in Melbourne, Australia. Founded by event doyen Liliana Sanelli, Perfect Events quickly developed into one of Australia’s premier event production companies specializing in not-for-profit, government and corporate events, conferences and festivals. We are honored to be able to help people make a difference in the world through events, and over the past 10 years have created thousands of miracles on both the local and global stage.

Perfect Events Canada is the new member of the Perfect family. Lead by local entrepreneur and businessman, Mr. Andy Burns, and Events Director, Mr. Shane Buzza, Perfect Events Canada promises to deliver the same Passion and Precision that our customers have experienced from Perfect Events to the great people of Canada.

At Perfect Events Canada we are so much more than an events company. We offer a complete end-to-end solution in managing all aspects of the event while guiding you through this amazing journey. We’ll take care of all the entertainment, the lighting, the sound, the venue, the catering, the signage, the MC notes, the volunteers, the permits, the registrations, the fundraising, the social media plan, the transport… and much, much more. We pull this all together and work with you to make sure that your vision is achieved; that you create that unforgettable experience for you and your guests; and, most importantly, that your dreams become reality.

 

Meet the executive team

ANDY BURNS

President & Secretary

Andy Burns is the President of Perfect Events Canada, and also the President of his independent Project Management business, Scocan Group. Andy is a natural leader and “people person”, and as part of his corporation provides services to some of the largest businesses in Canada – Tim Hortons and Recipe (formally Cara).

Attention to detail is a major skillset of Andy’s, such is the nature and scale of his work, and comes with the responsibility of planning, execution and closing of all projects. 

Andy has a passion for events, demonstrated with his charity work with Million Dollar Smiles, and so is pretty stoked to now become an integral part of the Perfect Events family.

Through Andy’s strong leadership, work ethic, broad and diverse networks, and endearing Scottish accent, we know that Andy will help drive Perfect Events Canada towards being a leader in the industry!

SHANE BUZZA

Event Director

Perfect Events Canada is the brain child of Aussie born Shane, he has loved this country and the people since being a local from 2006-2009.

It was while living in Toronto in 2008 that Shane first tasted the world of events with a self-funded/small-scale fundraiser on College St, and from there he hasn’t looked back.

Shane uses actions and a measured approach to drive those around him through his passion to excel in all events. No event challenge is too big or small. Shane, with his warmth and enthusiasm, knows how to make an event a success and takes his guests on that special journey. This, in turn, creates an amazing experience for all involved, helping to grow year upon year.

Shane now has over 10 years’ experience in the events industry – having worked on the Australian Tennis Open, Corporate Meet & Greet Events with the world’s most well-known artists (Lionel Ritchie, Beach Boys, Aerosmith), fundraising events for the Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Centre, The Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic and a Hollywood Gala Dinner; along with small and intimate launches, lunches and dinner. You name it, Shane has done it!

His role is to become an extension of your team and drive everyone in the right direction to ensure events are of the highest quality, without exception, in order for your event to be just Perfect!

LILIANA SANELLI

Director

As the founder of Perfect Events Pty Ltd over 11 years ago, and now a director in Perfect Events Canada, Liliana has owned the space of specialising in events in the association and not-for-profit sector.

Her love is to steer her team through her passion to excel in all events. No event or challenge is too big or small. Liliana, with her warmth and enthusiasm, knows how to make an event a success and takes her guests on that special journey which, in turn, makes events sell out and repeat year upon year.

Liliana has over 20 years’ experience in the events industry – having worked on the Sydney Olympics, Bella Italia, Up Close and Personal with Jerry Lewis to The World’s Greatest Shave for a Cure; along with small and intimate lunches and dinners. You name it, Liliana has done it!

Her role is to drive the entire team in the right direction and ensure events are of the highest quality, without exception, in order for your event to be just Perfect!

TOM CHAMBERS

Director

Tom has been working at Perfect Events since November 2017 and brings many years’ experience working in commercial banking to this growing business.

He is a thoughtful strategist who applies his business acumen across all divisions of Perfect Events. As a joint owner of Perfect Events Pty Ltd and now director of Perfect Events Canada, Tom is excited for Perfect Events to own and grow their own international events.
